So here's the deal; Rich is so busy with the new Bicycle center opening this coming weekend (Aug 22) that he hasn't had any time to post his usual blogs. I'm sure as soon as things calm down he'll be back to posting, but in the meantime... Things are crazy around here right now, trying to get all the raffle items organized, the PA system in place, the store merchandise set up, and on and on...it's exhausting just being in the building at the moment. Giant sent us a lot of cool stuff for our raffle that will be above and beyond what we had already planned, it's suppossed to be a surprise for the Grand Opening (zero day), but I don't think it's that big a deal to let our blog readers know. There's a sweet BBQ set in there, in a stainless case with a full compliment of grilling implements and some bike computers as well as some sweet jackets. Just act surprised when you see them at the raffle table, they aren't listed in the raffle sheet and won't be, but they'll be there. We've been getting in tons of new bikes in preparation for the opening, but that's sort of a given. We finally got the new addition past inspection, it only took jumping through about 18 hoops and bending over backwards to an angle of about 270 degrees. Oh and lowering the coat hook in the bathroom, that one was important too. What else is there to tell? It's the normal hustle and bustle before a Grand Opening i would think, although Action Sports isn't known for doing things the conventional way, so I can't really speak of "normal". If you've got any burning questions or thoughts just post the in the comment section and I'll see what I can find out for you. No one from the store reads this blog anyway, so ask away. Being a spy is fun... ~Later 000 (thats double o-zero; that's right seven degrees slicker than James Bond. As a matter of fact, James Bond couldn't hold my super spy jock. And that's a fact!) |

Did you eat paint chips as a kid? As far as people who work here,we do read the blog when we get some down time. Being a father you should know when that is(no not while you are in the bathroom!!!) some time between 12am and 3 am when our kids and wives are asleep. |

Bob, I'm supposed to be a super secret agent, you're making that very hard. Besides, I like to think of my "free time" as being between 9am and 5pm Monday thru Friday. And I may have eaten some paint chips, but they were tested and found to be lead free, and I wasn't a kid either so there! You don't know everything! Smart ass...trying to blow my cover... |
