Okay, so the big grand opening is over.  If you missed it, that sucks, it was actually a lot of fun.  Jeff Lenosky was awesome, the rain held off just enough to get in both shows, the food was good and we had a good turn out; not to mention FREE balloons and water bottles! 

Anyway, we've begun to settle into a nice groove in the new shop.  Rich will be posting a new blog this week, but in the meantime...

* there are whisperings of group road rides being put together, leaving from the new shop and possibly offering group riders exclusive access to the store and discounts before and/or after the ride.  We just got Powerbar in the store along with their line of sports drinks and a cooler, combined with the Clif bars, there should be a nice selection of "edibles" for pre-, post- and during ride fueling. 

* anyone have any thoughts on the idea of offering a 10% discount on bike center merch to anyone who rides their bike to the store?  If you could get 10% off some bike stuff for riding to the store, would you jump on your bike instead of into your car or would it not really make a difference to you?

* if you thought the short video on the homepage of the grand opening was cool, there is a "full-length" version in the works that should be pretty cool, keep your eyes open for that.

* if we had message boards up here to just talk bikes or find people to ride with, would anyone use them?
